About Conference Venue

AICOG 2013 will be held in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai which is a commercial complex located in the prestigious business district in South Mumbai housing headquarters of several fortune 500 companies and offices of major national and international corporations. The complex also hosts several exhibitions, concerts and other events round the year and has also witnessed performances from the famous rockstars like Shakira and Iron Maiden. AICOG 2013 will be held in the AICOG Convention Center which is a massive space of 32,000 sq. mtrs. and is a perfect venue to accommodate the anticipated 10,000 delegates! The conference space will house registration counters, lounges, a unique cafeteria, preview rooms, free paper halls, poster areas, ample clean    toilets, a pre-function area, the exhibition area, an internet cafe and parking space for more than 2,500 cars and 7 halls named after those who have majorly contributed to FOGSI over the years. Streets and Roads at BKC are very well developed with proper sign boards, which help commuters travel conveniently with a 15 to 30 minute drive on the Western Expressway leading to the Domestic and International Airports.


Important Information

Letter of Invitation

If you  require  an  official letter  of  invitation  in  order  to attend AICOG 2013, please write to the Secretariat or send your request through e-mail. The letter of invitation will be sent in the same form in which the request has been received. This service is essentially to assist participants who need to obtain their Government's or department's permission to attend the conference or to obtain required VISA from Indian-Mission abroad. A letter of invitation does not entitle registrant from exemption in fee or to obtain any financial support.

Certificate of Attendance

A certificate of attendance will be issued to all delegates who attend the conference.

Delegate Badges

All  delegates  will  be  issued  a  delegate  badge.  You  are requested to wear your delegate badge during the time you are within the venue. Only registered conference and trade delegates will be allowed inside the venue due to security reasons.

Trade Exhibition

A trade exhibition is being  organized during the conference. A large number of pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers of equipment / implants and instruments / aids / publishing houses etc are expected to display their products in these stalls who have given us and educational grant for AICOG2013.

Disclaimer

The organizing committee reserves the right to change the venue and make changes in the programme as may be found necessary, without prior notice. The committee also reserves the right to cancel the conference or postpone the same in case of circumstances beyond its control. The committee shall not be held liable for any damages for the above.

Weather

The  weather  during  January  and  February  is  cool  and pleasant, the temperature being around 16ºC minimum and maximum about 30 ºC.

Insurance

The participants and accompanying persons should take personal insurance to cover any eventuality that might happen during the conference. The organizing committee shall not be liable for any personal loss, accidents or damages to person or belongings of participants or accompanying persons.

Language of the Conference

The language of the conference will be English: All scientific and official programmes shall be conducted in English.

Travel and Connectivity

AICOG Convention Centre is being created on MMRDA Grounds which is a part of the 'G' Block of Bandra Kurla Complex. This is located between Bandra and Kurla, both of which are major railway stations and have railway termini (Bandra Terminus and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, respectively) in their vicinity on the Western and Central lines respectively, of the Mumbai Suburban Railway.

Other than the above rail links, BKC can also be easily accessed through the Western Express Highway, a major expressway in Mumbai, via the Kalanagar Junction and BKC Road.

Security Guidelines and Venue Entry

  • Delegates are requested to present a copy of their photo ID card (PAN card, Drivers license, Passport,   Election card, credit card, etc.) at the time of registration for verification.
  • Entry to all cultural programmes and banquet is also based on the coded identification badges only.
  • If the identification badge is lost, duplicate will be issued only after payment of Rs. 500/- only.
  • At entry point metal detectors will be operative and personal belongings may be searched/ scanned.
  • Wearing of badges at all times is compulsory and should be  strictly  followed.  Any delegate found without a badge will be directed back to the registration counter.
  • Dining areas entry is subject to the ID badge only.
  • Unauthorized entry is  prohibited.  Delegates are requested to report persons without valid badges ad unclaimed luggage to the nearest security persons immediately.

Cloak Room

  • All personal luggage has to be kept in the cloak room
  • Only delegate bags/ gift bags/ ladies vanity bags will be allowed inside the conference area.
  • All the belongings will be tagged and a responsible person will be taking care of them.
  • The Organizing Committee will not be responsible for any theft or loss of bags and personal belongings  in the cloak room.
